Exemplar Fernwood, Knowsley
For this case study, we’re going to take a look at our collaboration with Exemplar Fernwood, a care home located in Knowsley, Merseyide.
Fernwood is a 28-bedroom care home that provides care for adults living with complex and high-acuity needs. Fernwood recently went through a refurb, and Exemplar turned to Barons to help with supplying the furniture.

Project Details
Fernwood needed a full furniture refurb, so barons provided living, dining, and bedroom furniture. With this care home being near Knowsley Safari Park, we did a special jungle theme across the communal areas, featuring leafy fabrics and a special monkey scheme in one of the quiet lounges using Skopus Mau Lou fabric.
For the dining areas we used a combination of Illary Bar Stools, Riley Dining Chairs, and Stylo Dining Tables. We also utilised Iliv Nevis fabrics alongside Panaz Zest to keep in with the jungle theme. In the living areas we provided sofas and chairs from our Cambridge Range in the Lliv Nevis fabric, which, despite being vinyl, has a very modern look and feel.
In the bedrooms we supplied our Vermont Bedroom Sets, with Hannah High Back Chairs and Nautilus beds with Lliv fabrics. We also supplied some bedrooms with Florida bedroom sets and Hannah chairs in Panaz fabrics.

Completion & Feedback
Fernwood was overjoyed with their renovation, and we received positive feedback on the Lliv fabrics. The residents and staff felt that the green colour scheme provided a really relaxing environment. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Exemplar and we look forward to working with them again on future projects.
