Located in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, The Manor House is a care home run by Anchor that has a wide range of luxurious facilities, along with a team of experienced and dedicated staff. With 75 spacious bedroom suites, each complete with a private bathroom and elegant furnishings, The Manor House is known for delivering exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment. Residents are treated to blissful garden views, cosy lounges, and even a fully equipped bar that serves homemade cakes, making this location truly feel like a home.
In their ongoing commitment to providing vibrant, engaging communal spaces, Anchor partnered with Studio Aitchay to refresh the communal areas of The Manor House. As Anchor’s sole contract furniture supplier, Barons was also proud to support the redesign, providing numerous high-quality, contract-grade furniture items that were tailored to the needs of both the residents and staff.

Project Details
By supplying a range of high-quality contract furniture items, Barons was able to improve the comfort and visual appeal of the communal areas across The Manor House. The large entrance and corridors were fitted with Pandora High Back Chairs, which were upholstered in a vibrant mix of ILIV and Agua fabrics. These chairs were accompanied by Java Tall Round Tables to create areas that were relaxed and welcoming.
The hair salon and coffee lounge were furnished with Zoe Tub Chairs and Oskar Mid Back Chairs, along with Olivia Footstools, all of which were upholstered with carefully coordinated fabrics in tones that added softness and warmth. For the activities room, Barons provided several Heston Circular Dining Tables and more Zoe Tub Chairs to make the space inviting and offer plenty of seating. The room also benefitted from two Plain Front Brass Sideboards, which provided an incredibly smart storage solution.
The quiet lounge also featured quality seating in the form of Danyelle Chairs in Agua Tones Pebble and Nova Mink fabrics, along with sturdy Palma and Java tables, which completed an area for relaxation and social connection. In the dining areas, more Danyelle Chairs were provided, as well as Claire Dining Chairs in ILIV Manasi Malachite. Other items included Bench Seating and Heston Circular Dining Tables in various sizes to accommodate flexible dining arrangements. Lastly, the home’s jazz bar was fitted out with a Jacobi Coffee Table, an Emerson Vellum Sideboard, and a Cube Footstool in Skopos Marble Harvest Moon for relaxation.
