Dementia Friendly Environment
’In an ageing society, caring for people with dementia is one of the most important challenges we face’, Alan Johnson, Health Secretary – Times Online 04/02/2009. In an aim to help with dementia care Powys Local Health Board have developed a paper that investigates the environmental guidelines for dementia care. The paper describes the challenges that people with dementia may face within their environment whilst also suggesting ways in which improvements can be made.
